More deserving Pinoy families can still vie for the first ever Jollibee Family Values Awards as the deadline for nominations has been extended up to September 15, 2011. Launched by the country’s number one fastfood chain through its flagship product Chickenjoy, the search seeks to recognize five exemplary Filipino families who best exhibit Filipino family values such as joy, unity, respect and optimism, among others, and who have inspired others in their communities through their deeds.

At stake for each of the five winning families are P100,000 cash (tax-free), a specially designed trophy by renowned brass sculptor Michael Cacnio, and P10,000 worth of Jollibee gift certificates. One exemplary family from each of the five major regions — Mega Manila, Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao — will be recognized.

The distinguished panel of judges includes Department of Social Welfare and Development secretary Dinky Soliman, TV personalities Julius Babao and Christine Bersola-Babao, parenting columnist Cathy Babao-Guballa, Center for Family Ministries director Father Alan Abuan, Jollibee vice president for Marketing Albert Cuadrante and marketing manager Kent Mariano.

Any Filipino family currently residing in the Philippines and with at least one child aged 18 years and below may be nominated to this search. Criteria for judging are as follows: family values (40%), impact outside the family (40%), degree of participation of the family (10%) and uniqueness of story (10%). Shortlisted nominees will be interviewed and will be required to submit supporting documents.

Nomination forms are available in all Jollibee branches nationwide and may also be downloaded at
